Rev. Lynn Malone - Pastor
Pastor Lynn, a native of Chatham, Louisiana, has pastored United Methodist congregations for 18 years, and has been our Senior Pastor since June 2003. Pastor Lynn is a graduate of Chatham High School, La. Tech University, and Asbury Theological Seminary. He answered the call to ministry in 1991 after serving more than eight years as a deputy sheriff with the Jackson Parish Sheriff's Office, and his first appointment in ministry was as interim pastor of his home church, 1st UMC Chatham.
In his free time, Pastor Lynn enjoys reading, playing golf, traveling (anywhere there's a beach), dining out, and in support of his lovely wife, Vanessa, shopping. Pastor Lynn and Vanessa have four children and two grandchildren.
Dianne Wilkinson -
Administrator & Program Director
Dianne Wilkinson joined the staff of Benton UMC in January 2009. Her position includes the Ministry of Administration and Programming. Dianne served on the staff of Trinity UMC in Ruston, LA for 25 years in various capacities including: Director of Christian Education, Director of Programs, Director of Leisure Ministries, and Church Business Administrator. Dianne is the proud mother of 3 adult sons and the grandmother of three adorable grandchildren.
Dianne has received certification from the National Association of Church Business Administrators following her course of study at Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Dianne is also a certified United Methodist Church Business Administrator. This is awarded through the National Council of Church Finance and Administration of the United Methodist Church. Dianne has served on the executive board of UMACBA for the past 3 years and will be installed as President in July at the national conference to be held in Long Beach, CA.
